Data Analyst

THE ROLE

The role is responsible for leading, developing, and implementing data reporting and analysis to support key strategic objectives to support the growth of the organization. He/She will own the business, (marketing and enrollment) data analytics and reporting functions to empower the team and guide business decisions. The ideal candidate must not only be able to quickly adapt to business changes and pace with company needs but also have a forward-thinking and entrepreneurial mindset to analyze and identify potential optimization and growth areas for the businesses based on data analysis and insights.

SCHEDULE: 9 AM - 6 PM Eastern DaylightTime (9 PM - 6 AM Philippine Local Time), follows Philippine holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support business leaders in their analytical needs to help them make data-driven decisions by preparing, analyzing, and presenting data under the format of dashboards and trackers

• Drive solving business problems by analyzing complex data, formulating conclusions, and developing recommendations

• Work with marketing leadership and finance to develop metrics (i.e., LTV) to support organizing priorities for the businesses on ROI and potential profit

• Own and partner with business leaders on internal budget development across the businesses

• Work with leadership across the business and marketing to forecast each fiscal year, analyze and monitor results and recommend adjustments to keep marketing performance and spending efficiency on track in the year

• Create spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to conduct and illustrate trend analysis

• Identify data that can be used as a competitive advantage or as a revenue generator

• Assess business processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiencies

• Make recommendations on how to invest marketing dollars to drive the most efficient and profitable customer acquisition

• Provide robust insights into the digital behavior of end users and make strategic recommendations on ways to best engage them

• Assist with and test implementation for vendor relationships to ensure data transfer collection, quality, and reporting relationships are working appropriately to partner on achieving goals

• Analyze and interpret large and complex data sets and metrics

• Monitor performance indicators of admissions and operations functions, identifying causes/trends and driving data-based decision-making through the creation of insightful reports

• Build new data views, automate reports, and maintain current marketing, customer, and admissions reporting

• Create spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to conduct and illustrate trend analysis

• Transform/compile data from a variety of sources and format them into data acceptable for analysis

• Improve efficiencies, standardizing processes for growth, identifying untapped audience segments or tactics, and improve reporting, tools, or visibility for stakeholders and leadership

• Provide forecasting, and predictive visibility and perform various “what if” scenarios to gauge the impact of business approach and changes on ROI

• Drive building and maintenance of different data collection and tracking models for attribution, labeling, audience segmentation, and forecasting

• Drive the development of in-depth analysis tools to help marketing stakeholders and the company

• Champion and actively develop a data-centric approach, acting as a coach, mentor, champion, and in-house expert

• Provide professional development to stakeholders on data results and the use of data for continuous improvement

• Coordinate all aspects necessary to create and maintain data files for the purposes of analyzing data and reporting information to meet business requirements and goals

• Transform/compile data from a variety of sources and format them into data acceptable for analysis

• Manage the reporting systems and processes to ensure access to actionable data being reported on a defined schedule and actioned on 

• Work across businesses on data hygiene, database management, and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in the related field 

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience 

• Advanced Excel or Google sheet skills 

• Proficient in database management, data analytics, data visualization, and reporting 

• Strong process orientation

• Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools 

• Ability to collect and compile relevant data 

• Experience in a multi-client environment 

• Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications 

• Strong organization, oral and written communication skills 

• Analytical skills with particular attention to detail and numbers 

• Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
