System Administrator

ROLE SUMMARY

As a System Administrator, you will be monitoring and troubleshooting client networks and systems to ensure the smooth functioning of the network for business needs and keep downtime to a minimum.

SCHEDULE: 12 AM - 9 AM Pacific Daylight Time (3 PM – 12 PM Philippine Local Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Monitor and maintain the operability of client networking systems

·       Monitor network and server infrastructure for alerts and resolve as needed

·       Install server and network equipment updates as needed

·       Use the ticketing system to track and document all issues and resolutions in detail

·       Tune systems as necessary to achieve optimum operating performance

·       Monitor and maintain client backups.

·       Troubleshoot technical hardware, software, and user-related issues

·       Identify potential areas of improvement within the client’s network

·       Follow-up on all network department services provided to ECC clients

·       Attain weekly efficiency goals

·       Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry trends and technologies relating to communications and networking technologies

·       Maintain an orderly, clean, and attractive working area

·       Present a professional, clean, well-groomed appearance

·       Coordinate peer-level and junior-level assistance as needed

·       Communicate technical information to internal staff in clear and concise terms using both verbal and written formats

·       Communicate responsively with clients, vendors, and fellow staff members using both verbal and written formats

·       Identify client needs and communicate with internal staff

·       Provide professional quality of work by completing all tickets in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner, producing a finished result that is functional, lasting, and aesthetically pleasing

·       Perform all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A Bachelor’s degree in the related field

·       2 years of experience managing and maintaining IT systems is preferred

·       2 years of experience with Windows-based servers, and network systems is preferred

·       2 years of help desk and bench work experience

·       Experience with Microsoft technologies:

·       Windows 10 and 11

·       Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022

·       Microsoft Office 365 – Azure Active Directory

·       SharePoint

·       Microsoft Office Desktop Applications

·       Active Directory

·       Knowledge of the Cyber Security Landscape

·       Knowledge of remote access technologies, LAN and WAN topologies, DNS, file sharing, print sharing, Internet access, and e-mail

·       Experience with SonicWALL is preferred

·       Demonstrated capability through previous experience and education to perform job responsibilities

·       Experience in a multi-client environment

·       Ability to represent the company in a highly professional manner

·       Ability to be flexible and adaptable to new ideas from fellow employees, management, and clients

·       Strong sense of ownership and willingness to take responsibility and accountability for all client interactions

·       Ability to negotiate with vendors, clients, and staff

·       Maintain the highest level of confidentiality

·       Ability to effectively manage time in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

·       Have basic math skills
