Senior BI Data Engineer

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Senior BI Data Engineer, you will help develop the company’s data warehouse and support business activities, and work within all areas of the process – all the way from the servers to where data is consumed by stakeholders and other systems. You will help ensure data quality, reliability, efficiency, and security in the company’s data warehouse environment and help users of the warehouse obtain the data they need. Work closely with DevOps and other stakeholders.

SCHEDULE: 4 AM - 1 PM Pacific Daylight Time,(7 PM - 4 AM Philippine Local Time), follows Philippine holidays 

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop, maintain, and improve ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) and ELT flows

• Handle data modeling

• Assist in building roadmaps and strategies in line with business requirements

• Advise and support data management, data quality, and analytics systems and solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree in Computer Science or related areas 

• 5+ years of experience in BI and data

• Prior experience in the online gaming industry would be a plus

• Database experience, preferably in Snowflake and MySQL.

• Experience with Online Casino Affiliate Marketing

• Experience in AWS and Azure platform

• Experience in GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and DBT (data build tool) 

• Excellent data modeling experience

• Experience in a multi-client environment

• Have a curious, technical, inquisitive mindset and pragmatic personality

• Excellent SQL and Python knowledge preferably within Airflow

• Comfortable setting up infrastructure as code, e.g., using Terraform

• Comfortable extracting data

• Strong organization, oral and written communication skills and always curious to look for new tools and technologies to adopt that can help work

• Analytical skills with particular attention to detail

• Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation

• Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed and proactive.
