Architect (Retail Space)

ROLE SUMMARY

The Architect will work with a fast-growing franchise system to design retail spaces for their franchisees.

SCHEDULE: TBD, follows Philippine Holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Work directly with the studio buildout manager and general contractors to acquire site-specific information and provide franchisees with construction documents such as test fits and architectural drawings

·       Acquire a full understanding of the client’s brand standards to ensure consistency across every architectural drawing set

·       Coordinate and integrate engineering plans into the design

·       Work directly with the studio buildout manager to ensure all test fits and final architectural drawings are approved

·       Provide knowledge and initial estimates on material changes when necessary to ensure that studios are built with the best and most economical products and materials

·       Comply with all ADA, safety, and local planning codes and regulations

·       Prepare completed set of drawings, and ensure they are ready for permit submittal within 3-4 weeks of contract start

·       Submit and manage the permitting process with each municipality, providing all details they require until the permit is approved and released

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is preferred

·       Must be proficient in CAD and Revit

·       Experience in a multi-client environment

·       Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications

·       Strong organization, oral and written communication skills

·       Analytical skills with particular attention to detail

·       Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation

·       Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
