Software Development Engineer - Accounting Systems

ROLE SUMMARY

The Software Development Engineer – Accounting Systems would be responsible for developing solutions and improving our client’s accounting systems. He/she is expected to have extensive coding capabilities and is able to identify and address system issues. Experience with C#, SQL, and Azure would be valuable.

SCHEDULE: 3 PM - 12 AM Pacific Standard Time, follows Philippine holidays 

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Demonstrate experience in shipping production code that is robust and relatively free of bugs

• Understand basic .NET libraries and their use 

• Perform parameter validation

• Handle anomalies in the environment

• Conduct excessive logging for debugging issues in production  

• Utilize Azure API to interact with Azure services, blob storage, key vault, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in the related field

• Must have deep SQL, C#, and Azure experience

• Experience with accounting and/or accounting systems, such as QuickBooks Online, Dynamics, Sage Intacct

• Experience with some of the common libraries used generically, such as Newtonsoft for JSON and Serilog for logging

• Experience using entity framework for accessing SQL

• Understand how a SAAS application is deployed in Azure and has experience setting up and managing these environments

• Ability to work with interfaces that are often poorly documented and incomplete

• A persistent, curious, and creative problem solver with the ability to come up with novel approaches to solving problems
