Staff Accountant
ROLE SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant should have strong US GAAP knowledge, good knowledge of finance and accounting for a business environment, a mindset for process improvement, and exceptional and excellent teamwork skills to work with the accounting team and other departments. They will be responsible for a full set of account books, including A/R, A/P, G/L, month-end, and year-end closing of several entities.
SCHEDULE: TBD (anytime between 6 AM – 6 PM) Pacific Standard Time, follows Philippine holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Handle sales data from the system
· Conduct system reconciliation with deposits (cash and credit cards)
· Upload and record sales into the system
· Process accounts payable and incoming vendor invoices
· Review all invoices and get approval prior to payment
· Code and record invoices in the system
· Handle expense allocation if needed
· Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
· Perform bookkeeping responsibilities
· Record ending inventory in the system
· Record prepaid and accrued expenses
· Ensure all expenses are documented with receipts
· Maintain and ensure all accounts are in-balance
· Process depreciation and amortization
· Update schedule and year-end adjustments entries
· Conduct month-end bank reconciliation for multiple entities
· Reconcile bank account statements against books
· Conduct monthly sales and use tax online filing
· Assist in month-end closing
QUALIFICATIONS
· A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred
· Minimum 4-5 years’ corporate accounting experience required
· Deep expertise using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
· Experience in the MSP (Managed Service Provider) space is preferred, but not required
· Experience with Autotask (MSP software) and Rippling payroll preferred, but not required)
· Experience in month-end closing for multiple entities
· Solid understanding of the relationship of the components in each accounting cycle: journal, ledger, trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement
· Basic knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles, as well as accrual accounting and cash accounting
· Intermediate to advanced level of experience with MS Excel
· Excellent verbal, written English, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to multitask and be resourceful
· Must be imaginative, passionate, honest, kind, and a team player
· Experience in a multi-client environment
· Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
· Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
· Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
