SEO WordPress Full Stack PHP Developer

ROLE SUMMARY

This role is responsible for the delivery of shelf-ready website components and plugins with quality in mind from the beginning.

SCHEDULE: 4 AM – 1 PM Pacific Daylight Time (7 PM - 4 AM Philippine Local Time), follows Philippine Holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Design and implement new features and functionality using WordPress

o   WordPress Themes

o   WordPress Child Themes

o   WordPress Plugins (including hooks, extensions, and feature add ons of existing services)

·       Perform page speed optimization

·       Manage optimizations for SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

·       Integrate SEO best practices to increase visibility in search engines

·       Perform .htaccess redirects

·       Keep page speed score above 90 on both mobile and desktop on Google page speed and GTmetrix

·       Perform security updates, and routine site audits, on an as-needed basis

·       Be responsible for both back-end and front-end development

·       Conduct website performance tests

·       Troubleshoot content issues and present solutions to current and future roadblocks

·       Monitor the performance and traffic of the live website

·       Understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers

·       Convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages

·       Manage a team of WordPress developers

·       Manage Stage, PreProd, and Sandbox environments

·       Manage deployments

·       Convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages - without using Elementor

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A Bachelor’s degree in the related field

·       Experience in a multi-client environment

·       Would be good if this person also knows the Laravel PHP framework

·       Strong understanding of PHP back-end development

·       UI/UX experience to maintain and improve websites

·       Design experience using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, optimized scripts, image optimizations

·       Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery, and staying up to date with current and emerging web technologies and techniques.

·       Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git

·       Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug

·       Experience designing and developing responsive design websites

·       Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

·       Email, SMTP, DMARC, SPF, DKIM, DNS knowledgeable
