Junior Tax Accountant

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for Junior Tax Accountant who will support our client’s accounting operations, particularly with tax processing. He/she will be responsible for processing financial data and preparing tax returns. This role will work with our client’s tax manager.

SCHEDULE: 9 AM - 6 PM Pacific Daylight Time (12 AM – 9 AM Philippine Local Time), Follows Philippine Holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Work with the tax manager to prepare tax returns, including but not limited to individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and non-grantor trusts

·       Accumulate, analyze, and process financial accounting data to prepare tax returns, estimated tax payments, forecasts, and financial accounting estimates of tax

·       Perform data entry from various source documents and verify data by reconciling data inputted

·       Protects the firm's value by keeping information confidential

·       Obtain and manage client documents, including digitizing and filing

·       Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns and sales tax returns

·       Prepare adjusting entries and complete trial balances to prepare tax returns

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is an advantage

·       More than 1 year of accounting experience

·       Professional, well organized, strong communication skills, responsible and detail-oriented skillset

·       Experience in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns

·       Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications

·       Ability to prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines

·       Excellent verbal and written communications skills

·       Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

·       Ability to work overtime through tax season, including weekends

·       Experience in a multi-client environment

·       Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
