Network Operations Manager

ROLE SUMMARY

The Network Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure. This person will lead a team of network engineers and administrators to ensure the optimal performance, security, and reliability of network systems while meeting the organization's business objectives and compliance requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices

·       Manage and lead a team of network engineers and administrators, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations

·       Monitor network performance and capacity to identify and resolve potential issues

·       Develop and implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data loss, and cyber threats

·       Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other IT infrastructure

·       Develop and maintain network policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

·       Manage network-related projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timelines

·       Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform future strategies and network improvements

·       Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users on network-related issues as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A Bachelor’s degree in the related field

·       Ideally 5+ years of experience in network engineering, administration, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position

·       Strong knowledge of network systems, protocols, and security best practices

·       Proven experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting

·       Excellent leadership, project management, and team collaboration skills

·       Familiarity with relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) and industry standards (e.g., ITIL, ISO 27001)

·       Knowledge of compliance requirements and the ability to develop and maintain network policies and procedures

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

·       Commitment to staying informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies

·       Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, products, and processes
