Commercial Electrical Estimator

THE ROLE

Our client is looking for a Commercial Electrical Estimator who will be responsible for performing quantity take-offs of assigned projects and updating the estimating software.

SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (12:00 AM – 9:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Perform quantity take-offs of assigned projects and then enter the take-off into the estimating software Conest Intellibid

·       Create proposals using company software which includes scope, qualification, and exclusions

·       Work with other estimators to check each other’s work

·       Create and maintain relationships with customers and contractors through the delivery of on-time proposals and ensure availability to help when there are pricing challenges

·       Participate in regular office meetings remotely

·       Follow up with current and potential customers

·       Track information and documentation during the estimating/bidding phase of projects

·       Engage in direct communication with clients and contractors

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A bachelor’s degree in the related field is an advantage

·       Must have experience and complete knowledge of the electrical construction industry

·       Must understand construction management or project management

·       Knowledge of Conest Intellibid is a plus

·       Must have experience with Microsoft Office and other software, and able to demonstrate the ability to learn new software

·       Knowledge of current national and local codes or have the ability to learn codes is a plus

·       Must present a professional and positive attitude, always

·       Ability to follow up with clients and prospects on a timely basis

·       Ability to resolve difficult situations that arise during the estimating process

·       Ability to articulate thoughts verbally as well as in writing

·       Ability to read body language and understand what is not being said

·       Ability to use technology to enhance communication with clients, technicians, and supplier partner

·       Ability to have a remarkable client relationship and assist the client through the electrical work process in a positive and personal way

·       Ability to build strong meaningful subcontractor/supplier partnerships where all involved are considered and benefit from working together for the common good of the client and project
