Accounting Lead


Our client, a company that operates a portfolio of companies in different industries such as dry cleaning, software development, management consulting, and executive coaching, is looking for a versatile Accounting Lead who can drive the accounting processes across each of these businesses to have clear and accurate reporting which enables decision making.

SCHEDULE: 3:00 AM - 12:00 PM Central Standard Time (5:00 PM - 2:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays




·       Take a proactive role in leading all accounting processes across the portfolio of companies

·       Identify opportunities continuously to streamline and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy

·       Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

·       Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

·       Implement and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations

·       Evaluate, recommend, and implement accounting software or systems to enhance productivity and data accuracy

·       Manage relationships with vendors and customers, resolving any accounting-related issues or discrepancies

·       Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights for decision-making and strategic planning

·       Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and working capital

·       Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax-related documents and payments

·       Collaborate with other departments, including HR and operations to provide financial guidance and support

·       Ensure accurate financial reporting is available by the 10th of the month or 10 days after the end of the period

·       Ensure on-time management of accounts receivable (invoicing and collections)

·       Ensure on-time delivery of reports for CPA


·       Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

·       CPA or similar certification is a plus

·       Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting and bookkeeping roles, with a track record of process improvement and leadership

·       Knowledge of US accounting is required, and US tax knowledge is preferred but not required

·       Strong and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations

·       Experience having found opportunities to improve process efficiency and automation

o   Accounting with 13 – 4 week periods

o   Use of QuickBooks Classes and Departments

·       Proficiency in accounting tools (QuickBooks and and other tools (Microsoft Excel and Teams), as well as a willingness to adapt to new technologies such as POS systems

·       Proficiency in Power BI would be nice but is not required

·       Experience in multi-company or multi-entity accounting is preferred

·       Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain management, team development, and leadership

·       Knowledge of process design, implementation, and optimization

·       Ability to take initiative independently

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

·       Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and with matrixed teams

·       Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
