ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Data Specialist position who will be responsible for gathering information to assist the Real Estate Tax Consultants and Business Personal Property Tax Consultants in working their accounts.  The data specialist position will work primarily from a PTS system-generated calendar event task list.  The PTS system will assign tasks in order of deadline priority.  For each task, he/she will be responsible for accurately documenting any necessary information and communicating issues to the Tax Consultant and/or the manager.

SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Daylight Time (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Handle the following value collection duties:

o   Use PTS system-generated events in placing phone calls, email, fax, or complete internet research to obtain current values from the taxing jurisdictions and other pertinent data about the appeal process

o   Confirm the mailing address of any assessment notifications and update the address when appropriate in PTS database system

o   Obtain a copy of the value backup document and electronically link it to the PTS system when unable to obtain an original assessment notice

o   Update values and appeal data in the PTS system

o   Communicate any issues or other important information to the consultants via notes in the system, emails, or personal communication

·       Handle the following tax bill collection duties:

o   Use PTS system events, in placing phone calls, emails, fax, or internet research to obtain current tax bill information from the taxing jurisdiction

o   Confirm the mailing address of any property tax bills and update the address with the taxing jurisdiction when appropriate

o   Obtain, scan, and link copies of tax bills when unable to obtain the original tax bill

·       Handle the following property tax bill approval duties:

o   Review the property tax bill document that has been linked to the system and confirm the accuracy of various pieces of information on the tax bill and in the PTS system

o   Communicate any errors discovered via PTS system notes, email, or personal communication to the consultant for correction

o   Prepare a bill approval page and submit it for review to the appropriate tax bill reviewer

·       Review the property tax bill documents and review other tax bill-related correspondence to ensure it is linked correctly in the system

·       Forward anything that requires action to the consultant and/or the manager

·       Handle any other tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor or manager

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred

·       Must be comfortable making phone calls

·       Able to type 75 wpm and ten key by touch

·       Has phone etiquette and computer skills

·       Has interpersonal skills and written and oral communication proficiency

·       Has initiative and the ability to manage time

·       Detail-oriented and has strong organization and time management skills
