Document Specialist I

ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Document Specialist I who will support the Legal and Pre-Litigation Departments in identifying, gathering, and assessing patient account documents and information for use in all phases of the account resolution process.

SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (12:00 AM – 9:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Assist with document collection, production, organization, and management

·       Assist with the maintenance and manipulation of document databases for purposes of facilitating productions, preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations

·       Assist with the utilization of E-Discovery applications for purposes of document management and production including redacting and Bates stamping

·       Assist with routine preparations for and at trials, arbitrations, and mediations including updating indices, chronologies, logs, and tracking systems

·       Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, printing, and organization of documents and information

·       Work with RPA applications

·       Maintain quality and productivity standards as set by management

·       Influence others using a positive approach

·       Work independently with minimal supervision

·       Perform special projects as requested

·       Ensure compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

·       Understand and comply with legal stands and protocols related to privacy

·       Maintain documents in compliance with the firm's document retention policies

·       Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred

·       Related experience is a plus

·       Ability to maintain confidentially on all levels (tact and good judgment in confidential situations)

·       Must be innovative, agile, and committed to the success of the firm

·       Has integrity and can demonstrate a professional demeanor and proper discretion

·       Experience in a multi-client environment

·       Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications

·       Strong organization, oral and written communication skills

·       Analytical skills with particular attention to detail

·       Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
