Marketing and PR Assistant


Our client is looking for a Marketing and PR Assistant who will assist the leadership and public relations (PR) teams on both agency marketing and client work.

SCHEDULE: TBA Pacific Daylight Time, follows Philippine holidays




·       Handle the following Agency Marketing Assistant duties:

o   Conduct preliminary research on prospective targets

o   Develop and maintain outreach lists using RocketReach and LinkedIn

o   Monitor competitor activity on an ongoing basis to provide applicable learnings

o   Assist in email outreach to new business leads using HubSpot

o   Assist in the coordination of new business proposals, working cross-functionally with creative, PR, client services, and media teams on new business pitches

o   Conduct online research regarding industry trends and activity and help generate ideas for agency blog posts

o   Assist in website updates and upload content into the WordPress template

·       Handle the following PR Assistant duties:

o   Develop, qualify, and maintain/keep current media lists for PR clients using Muckrack media database

o   Conduct daily tracking of news coverage or mention for all PR clients using Muckrack and Critical Mention

o   Clip coverage and develop an email summary for the account person to share with the client following the specified format share

o   Add coverage, UMV, and link to Excel tracker (Coverage Book or Critical Mention, dependent upon client)

o   Develop client recap reports (Coverage Book or slides, dependent upon client and KPIs)

o   Develop impressions reports for select clients

o   Conduct media audits and research for clients and new business opportunities which may include media coverage, issues/trends, competitor insights, speaking opportunities, and tradeshows

o   Monitor social media for issues/client mentions for specific clients

o   Assist with logistics and administrative requests including product orders, media fulfillment


·       A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred

·       Skilled in project management and is deadline-driven

·       Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

·       Solid understanding of the social media universe including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok

·       Working knowledge of Google Analytics

·       Proficient in the use of Mac in a Windows environment and the use of the Internet and Microsoft Office Applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·       Proficient in Mac-based programs such as Keynote

·       Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills

·       Experience in a multi-client environment

·       Analytical skills with particular attention to detail

·       Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
