Senior Accountant
ROLE SUMMARY
Our client seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The ideal candidate thrives in an intense and fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and attention to detail. SCHEDULE: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time (8:30 PM – 5:30 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Perform the following accounting responsibilities:
o Develop annual budgets and cash flow forecasts
o Perform analysis of financial data to identify trends and provide insights to clients
o Schedule Zoom video chats with clients to discuss financial reports
o Present financial statements and KPI analysis during monthly and quarterly client meetings
o Maintain ongoing and positive communication with assigned client
o Spearhead accounting catch-up/clean-up projects for newly assigned clients
· Perform the following delegation/review-related tasks:
o Manage and delegate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual engagements
o Perform materially accurate monthly bookkeeping reviews for complex clients
o Ensure that the accounting team updates client checklists in Karbon weekly
o Manage and review QuickBooks file clean-ups for newly onboarded clients
o Train team on new client assignments, when applicable
o Delegate bookkeeping and accounting tasks to the accounting team as new clients are onboarded
o Review work performed by the accounting team
o Review journal entries, adjustments, and monthly reconciliations
o Review payroll transmission processed by the accounting team
o Review quarterly payroll tax returns and reconciliations
o Review complex monthly and quarterly sales taxes
o Review bills entered in Bill.com by the accounting team
o Review invoices created by the accounting team
· Perform the following administrative/miscellaneous responsibilities:
o Refer to the company’s core values to assist in solving problems
o Enter time daily in Karbon
o Manage calendars to schedule daily and weekly workload
o Schedule weekly meetings with accounting staff as needed
o Participate in 1:1 check-in to discuss individual goals, concerns, and growth
o Attend daily huddles
o Attend scheduled trainings and workshops
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is mandatory
· 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience
· Must have experience managing multiple (30+) clients
· Expert with QuickBooks Online
· Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications
· Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
· Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
· Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
· Ability to work well under minimal supervision
