Ruby on Rails Engineer

ROLE SUMMARY

As the Full Stack Engineer, you are responsible for building incredible projects using and with familiarity with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, TypeScript, and React, all running on Heroku. You are expected to assist with all customers’ queries and concerns.

SCHEDULE: 3 AM – 12 PM Central Standard Time, follows Philippine Holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Build large applications using Ruby on Rails

·       Build user interface (UI) with React and Typescript

·       Work in a complex business domain

·       Write tests, particularly with Rspec

·       Use Git and GitHub

·       Value elegant and maintainable code and architecture, and delight in finding simple solutions to complex problems

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A Bachelor’s degree in the related field

·       3-5 years of related experience

·       Experience with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, TypeScript, and React all running on Heroku

·       Experience with APIs and integrating to 3rd party software

·       A good eye for UI details and an ability to develop UI concepts

·       Able to speak English to fluently discuss business and technical concepts

·       Experience in a multi-client environment, previous experience working in a remote role

·       Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications

·       Strong organization, oral and written communication skills

·       Analytical skills with particular attention to detail

·       Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation

·       Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
