ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a bookkeeper to support the finance function in a company that is experiencing exciting growth.

SCHEDULE: 8 AM – 5 PM Pacific Standard Time, follows Philippine Holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Complete payroll journal entries for each payroll for CAD/USD and enter them into QBO, balancing to the payroll reports downloaded from ADP / Simple pay

·       Categorize Brex transactions in QBO

·       Conduct bank reconciliations on a weekly basis, entering all bank charges, customer payments, 401/RRSP payments that cleared

·       Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and Brex reconciliation and download statements for Dropbox, copying completed reconciliations into the reconciliation workbook for each account

·       Conduct month-end reconciliation workbook, which covers in-depth reconciliation for every balance sheet account and filling out each tab with information based on QBO

·       Investigate any issues on TB or out of balance on the reconciliation

·       Enter all prepaid expenses/ accrued expenses each month, recording them into the reconciliation workbook and balancing to trial balance

·       Prepare and enter payroll accrual monthly for CAD/USD, record in QBO and in reconciliation book under accruals

·       Prepare financial statements

·       Handle regular entry of AR payments

·       Update AR aging reports for bi-weekly meetings looking to see if customers paid/opened/read the invoice email

·       Update the RRSP spreadsheet and send it to Great west life once payroll journal entries are complete and entered into QBO

·       Use the RRSP spreadsheet when entering the payment as an expense when it clears the bank

·       Handle asset management and update in BambooHR when an asset is purchased (ProcureDesk will send an email), returned, or assigned as an onboarding/offboarding task

·       Provide backup on HR tasks, including preparing offer letters and contracts, onboarding tasks, and benefits administration

·       Provide occasional administrative support for the CEO.

·       Utilize the following software: QBO (Multicurrency), Bill.com, SaasOptics, Avalara, PandaDoc, BambooHR, ProcureDesk

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A Bachelor’s degree in the related field

·       2-3 years of experience in a related role

·       Experience with the following tools is an advantage: QBO (Multicurrency), Bill.com, SaasOptics, Avalara, PandaDoc, BambooHR, ProcureDesk

·       High attention to detail and works with urgency

·       Experience in a multi-client environment

·       Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications

·       Strong organization, oral and written communication skills

·       Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation

·       Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
